The Tour de Yorkshire comes through the Penistone today. This is the 3rd stage and through Millhouse Green, Thurlstone, Penistone and Midhopestones before going on to Fox Valley.

There will be a great party atmosphere as the community and local businesses all come together to provide a characteristically warm welcome for visitors. This is a day to celebrate and even if you don’t like cycling there’s bound to be somethign here for you.

Below is a selection of things happening. More will be added nearer the day – please see the social media links for updates. Make sure to check the special Facebook page, Penistone Ont Tour for the latest information and also the Visit Penistone Facebook page for additional info and even special offers from local shops.

For visitors to the area (and locals!) we’ve also created a special section for the event which can be found here:

A useful page can also be found on Penistone Pictorial, This conveniently collects a lot of information from a wide range of Le Tour sources in one place and is probably the best one-stop page for the event for locals.
